Contemporary American Artist Sandra Constantine

Contemporary American artist Sandra Constantine recreates the effect of an old architects blue print using the print type Cyanotype
developed by an English scientist, John Frederick William Herschel in 1842.
Cyanotype is made by coating paper with an emulsion made of potassium ferricyanide. Objects or negatives are placed on the emulsion covered by paper, then exposed to sunlight or UV rays.
The exposed uncovered part changes the composition of the light sensitive emulsion, when washed to the signature blue color.
